Annual Baseball Renovation Project Underway in Austin, TX
Earlier this spring, the Major League Baseball Groundskeepers and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund selected Austin Reagan High School baseball field in Austin, TX, for their annual renovation service project.
The renovation is under process and the unveiling ceremony will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2011. With the leadership of Houston Astros Director of Field Operations, Dan Bergstrom and approximately 23 grounds crews representatives from MLB clubs have overseen the complete renovation of the playing surface during the summer and fall months.

Each year, the Major League Groundskeepers convene for Industry meetings, during which the Groundskeepers go into a community and renovate a baseball field that is in need of repair. This year, aided by a grant from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund and with donations of supplies and labor from three major sponsors (Toro, Turface Athletics and Covermaster Incorporated), the Groundskeepers have joined forces to complete the renovation of this field.
